This large mural-like painting was painted on gallery wrapped canvas. I painted the images that I saw in the paint as I looked closely at the background underpainting. Different people will see different things in the painting. To me, it represents freedom to be who God has made us to be.
I have been painting on and off since the age of eight. I'm a native of Southern California and moved to Pennsylvania in 1998. I obtained my B.A. in Design from UCLA in 1981. I'm an intuitive painter and I work primarily on Yupo paper (a slick, synthetic paper which lends itself to much experimentaion) with acrylic inks, watercolor and acrylic paint. I see my painting process as an act of worshipping God. I don't know what I'm going to paint when I start, but I trust God to guide me.
