Artist's Description

This is painting #19 in a series of 30 Paintings in 30 Days for 2017. It was inspired by the song "No Longer Slaves" by Bethel Music. It is painted on Yupo paper with acrylic ink, acrylic paint and watercolor crystals. It speaks of the freedom that comes in knowing our true identity as children of God as believers of Jesus.

About Deborah Nell

Deborah Nell

I have been painting on and off since the age of eight. I'm a native of Southern California and moved to Pennsylvania in 1998. I obtained my B.A. in Design from UCLA in 1981. I'm an intuitive painter and I work primarily on Yupo paper (a slick, synthetic paper which lends itself to much experimentaion) with acrylic inks, watercolor and acrylic paint. I see my painting process as an act of worshipping God. I don't know what I'm going to paint when I start, but I trust God to guide me. I listen to Christian music while painting and work intuitively until I see something emerging. I then further define it. Thank you for visiting my site. I hope you enjoy viewing my work.
