I loved painting this mixed media painting. It started as a pour painting where I discovered the image of the woman and the lion. Layers of acrylic, spray paint and finally oil paint was applied. It speaks of an experience I had in worship where I had an up close and personal experience with a lion.
I have been painting on and off since the age of eight. I'm a native of Southern California and moved to Pennsylvania in 1998. I obtained my B.A. in Design from UCLA in 1981. I'm an intuitive painter and I work primarily on Yupo paper (a slick, synthetic paper which lends itself to much experimentaion) with acrylic inks, watercolor and acrylic paint. I see my painting process as an act of worshipping God. I don't know what I'm going to paint when I start, but I trust God to guide me. I listen to Christian music while painting and work intuitively until I see something emerging. I then further define it. Thank you for visiting my site. I hope you enjoy viewing my work. I love this, Deborah! Pours often reveal hidden images that come to you as you see it-I love the lion and the woman together in the peaceful blues.Beautiful!
