This painting depicts Jesus in the garden of Gethsemane before his crucifixion. He is asking God the Father for strength to face the night ahead. The painting is painted on stretched canvas with acrylic ink and acrylic paint. It speaks of Jesus humanity and suffering.
About Deborah Nell
I have been painting on and off since the age of eight. I'm a native of Southern California and moved to Pennsylvania in 1998. I obtained my B.A. in Design from UCLA in 1981. I'm an intuitive painter and I work primarily on Yupo paper (a slick, synthetic paper which lends itself to much experimentaion) with acrylic inks, watercolor and acrylic paint. I see my painting process as an act of worshipping God. I don't know what I'm going to paint when I start, but I trust God to guide me.
